Oatmeal with Apple and Blueberries


Ingredients:

  • 250 ml plant-based milk (e.g. almond, oat, or soy milk)
  • 45 g rolled oats, crushed
  • 1 tbsp La Vida Vegan chocolate spread
  • ½ apple, sliced
  • 1 handful of blueberries
  • 1 tsp chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional)
  • 1–2 tsp maple syrup, honey, or agave syrup (for a touch of sweetness)
  • Pinch of salt (to enhance the flavours)
  • Cinnamon to taste (for added warmth and flavour)





The instructions:

  1. Heat the plant-based milk in a small saucepan until it begins to boil.
  2. Add the crushed oats to the boiling milk, reduce the heat, and let it simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in the chia seeds (if using), cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Allow the mixture to cook for another minute to blend the flavours.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the maple syrup or your preferred sweetener for added flavour.
  5. Spoon the oatmeal into a bowl and top with a dollop of La Vida Vegan chocolate spread, apple slices, and blueberries.
  6. Optional: Add extra toppings, such as chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds), shredded coconut, or a dollop of plant-based yoghurt for extra creaminess.
