Date Snickers Bar

Ingredients

For the Snickers bar:
50x Medoul dates
400 g Chunky peanut butter
200 g hazelnuts, roasted and roughly chopped
200 g organic dark chocolate
1 pot La Vida Vegan Dark Chocolate Spread
1 tsp Maldon salt

The instructions

  1. Cut the dates lengthwise and remove the pit and hard crown.
  2. Place the dates with the cut side down on a piece of baking paper measuring approximately 30 x 40cm.

  5. Heat the peanut butter slightly to make it smooth, spread over the dates and divide the chopped hazelnuts over it.
  6. Let cool in the refrigerator.
  7. Melt the chocolate bar au bain-marie and add the jar of La Vida Vegan Dark Chocolate Spread and stir well into a smooth paste.
  8. Pour this evenly over the date plate and spread the Maldon salt over it.
  9. Place in the refrigerator for another hour to firm up.
  10. Place the cooled plate on a cutting board and cut strips with a large knife.
  11. Wrap in baking paper or in a sealed container.
