Ingredients
For the gingerbread chai syrup:
- 100 g light brown sugar
- 120 ml water
- 60 ml molasses (or dark syrup)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- ½ tsp ground cloves
- ½ tsp ground cardamom
For the drink:
- 120 ml chai concentrate (strong brewed chai tea works too)
- 240 ml oat milk
- 200 g ice cubes (about 1 large glass)
- 2 tbsp La Vida Vegan Almond Spread
- Optional: pinch of pumpkin spice or cinnamon on top
Instructions
- Start by making the syrup: add the sugar, water, molasses and all spices to a small saucepan.
- Simmer for 5–7 minutes until it thickens slightly. Let it cool.
- Mix the chai syrup with 2 tbsp La Vida Vegan Almond Spread until the spread is fully dissolved.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes, pour the chai mixture over the ice and stir briefly.
- Then top with the oat milk.
- Finish with a pinch of pumpkin spice or cinnamon.
