Banana bread


For 2 small loaves (about 4 pieces)
Preparation time: 10 minutes + 22 minutes baking time

Ingredients:

  • 80 g rolled oats
  • 1 ripe banana (mashed)
  • 150 ml plant-based milk (e.g., oat or almond drink)
  • 2 tbsp La Vida Vegan hazelnut spread
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • 80 g chocolate chips
  • 1 vegan egg substitute or 2 tsp chia seeds + 6 tsp plant-based milk (for binding)

Topping:

  • Banana slices
  • Extra swirl of La Vida Vegan hazelnut spread

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. In a bowl, mix the mashed banana, plant-based milk, (chia) egg, and La Vida Vegan hazelnut spread until smooth.
  3. Add the oats, baking powder, and cinnamon, and stir until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into greased small baking dishes.
  5. Bake for 18–22 minutes until firm and golden brown.
  6. Add the chocolate chips halfway through baking.
  7. Remove from the oven once baked through and let cool slightly.
  8. Optionally, top with banana slices and a swirl of hazelnut spread.
