Preparation time: ±10–15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of sourdough bread
- 4–6 soft dates (pitted)
- 2 tbsp La Vida Vegan hazelnut spread
- 1 banana (sliced)
- 1–2 tbsp sugar
- A pinch of (flaky) salt
Instructions
- Lightly toast the sourdough slices until golden brown.
- Press the soft dates into the warm bread so they form a sticky, sweet base.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and sprinkle in the sugar. Let it melt slowly into a golden caramel.
- Add the banana slices to the caramel and cook briefly on both sides until soft and caramelized. Remove them from the pan and place on a piece of parchment paper.
- Generously spread the La Vida Vegan hazelnut spread over the toast.
- Top with the caramelized banana.
- Sprinkle with a pinch of (flaky) salt for extra flavor balance.
Tip: For extra crunch, you can add some chopped nuts.
